Every organization on HometownLift gets the Core platform free — fundraising, memberships, sponsors, raffles, donor CRM, basic store, volunteer signup, hours tracking, and year-end tax statements. Donors cover the 5% platform fee plus card processing at checkout, so your org keeps 100% of every gift. Optional paid add-ons unlock event-day operations and back-office power tools when you outgrow Core.
The donor-paid fee model
When a donor gives $100, HometownLift adds a 5% platform fee ($5.00) and estimated card processing (~$3.53) to the donor's checkout total. The donor pays ~$108.53. Your organization receives $100.00.
No invoice, no monthly statement, no surprise deduction on donations. The fee is collected from the donor in real time and never touches your payout.
Memberships and sponsorships run at a lower 1% covered fee instead of 5%. The buyer covers it the same way, so your org still keeps 100% of the membership or sponsorship amount.

Core is free forever — you don't need a trial. Every paid add-on plan can be canceled anytime from Stripe's billing portal; access lasts through the period you've already paid for.
Then you never pay a subscription. Core covers fundraising, donor CRM, year-end tax statements, volunteer hours, raffles, sponsors, and more. Many small orgs run for years on Core alone.
