Each organization using HometownLift is solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local tax obligations. This includes, but is not limited to, sales tax collection and remittance, income tax reporting, and any other tax requirements related to donations received or store sales conducted through the platform.
HometownLift does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. HometownLift does not collect or remit sales tax on behalf of any organization. Organizations should consult with a qualified tax professional regarding their specific tax obligations and filing requirements.
HometownLift provides transaction records and reporting tools to assist organizations with their record-keeping, but the accuracy and completeness of tax filings remains the sole responsibility of each organization.
